- The SHSAA organization is staffed and meets
every third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm
in the Shadyside Community Building. All
meetings are open to all Shadyside Graduates.

About SHSAA
- The Shadyside High School Alumni Association warmly welcomes anyone who wishes to support our initiatives
and assist with activities, particularly in fundraising for student scholarships and grants for teachers.
Membership to the SHS Alumni Association
(parent organization of "The Fund") remains at
- $10.00 per calendar year and may be paid
throughout the year beginning in January. You
may opt to purchase a Lifetime membership.

$300,000 in awarded scholarships over the
past 28 years of the program. We can’t do this
without you! Please keep helping and inspire

- Membership in the SHS Alumni Association, the parent organization of "The Fund," remains at $10.00 for each calendar year.
Payments can be made anytime beginning in January. You also have the option to purchase a Lifetime membership.

HOW TO JOIN
- Payment of 'Dues' goes to the Alumni
Association itself, which the IRS classifies as
501(c) (4) org. Therefore, the amount of Dues
paid (currently, $10 per person, per year, or any
of the Lifetime membership amounts) are NOT
eligible for tax deductibility.
2. FILL OUT MEMBERSHIP and PAY ONLINE
- The Lifetime Membership is a one time fee and
includes your membership in the Association for
the remainder of your life. No need to renew!
Lifetime Membership shall be complete upon
receipt of the Lifetime Dues by the Board of
Trustees and the delivery of a certificate of
Lifetime Membership to the applicant.
$50 = 51+ years since graduation
$100 = 41-50 years since graduation
$150 = 31-40 years since graduation
$200 = 21-30 years since graduation
$250 = 11-20 years since graduation
$300 = <10 years since graduation

- All donations qualify as a tax deduction
on your Federal Tax Return. At the
present time we continue to support
Shadyside Schools Assistance Program,
The Merit Scholarship Program and six
Family Named Scholarships.
- The Fund is a 501©(3) organization
- Since its establishment in 2001 and
continuing through the 2022-2023 academic
year, we have provided a total of
$116,663.93 to support 232 requests
submitted by K-12 teachers. This includes 73
requests from elementary schools, 62 from
middle schools, and 97 from high schools.
- The Schools Assistance Program
- This includes the Family Named
Scholarships, which have granted a total of
$391,266.08 since their establishment in
1991, benefiting 181 scholarships through
the 2023 academic year. By the end of
December 2024, an additional nine
scholarships are expected to be awarded.
- The Merit Scholarship Program

often known as "The Fund," here is a comprehensive overview of "Where Your
Donations Go" and the initiatives they support.
